Fmoc-甘氨酸是经过Fmoc保护的甘氨酸。芴甲氧羰基(Fmoc)是一种碱敏感的保护基,可以在浓氨水或二氧六环-甲醇-4N NaOH(30:9:1)、哌啶、乙醇胺、环己胺、1,4-二氧六环、吡咯烷酮等氨类50%二氯甲烷溶液中脱去。在碳酸钠或碳酸氢钠等弱碱性条件下,通常使用Fmoc-Cl或Fmoc-OSu引入Fmoc保护基。
应用Fmoc-甘氨酸主要用于合成多肽,氨基酸保护基的不同对多肽合成的效率和产率有很大影响。例如,Fmoc-甘氨酸可用于制备一种甘氨酸衍生物缓蚀剂。通过酰胺化反应,在甘氨酸分子上接入Fmoc-保护基团和疏水长链。这些疏水长链能够阻挡水分分子,并且通过杂原子(N、O等或不饱和键)和含π电子的双苯环吸附于金属表面,从而在钢铁表面形成一道保护膜,达到防腐的目的。
