吲哚啉在常温常压下为无色至黄色透明液体,密度1.0676 g/cm³,熔点-21℃,沸点228~230℃,折射率1.592~1.594,闪点92℃。其水溶性在20℃时为5 g/L。吲哚啉可燃并对眼睛、皮肤有刺激作用,对人体有害,在常温常压下稳定。
主要用途吲哚啉是一种芳香族杂环有机化合物,化学式为C8H9N,具有双环结构,由六元苯环和五元含氮环熔合而成。该化合物是基于吲哚结构,但2-3键是饱和的。它主要用于合成吲哚类的衍生产品,并作为准固态染料敏化太阳能电池的敏剂,具备良好的光电转化性能。此外,吲哚啉也是医药、植物生长调节剂的重要中间体。
合成方法以吲哚为原料,在Pd/C催化剂的作用下,使用水作溶剂进行催化加氢反应而制得。
应用前景吲哚啉染料的前线分子轨道结构非常有利于染料激发态向TiO2电极的电子注入。其吸收光谱与太阳辐射光谱匹配较好,能级结构适合于I-/I3-作电解液的TiO2纳米晶太阳能电池的光敏剂。最低未占据分子轨道(LUMO)能级均高于TiO2晶体导带边能级,确保了激发态染料分子高效地向TiO2电极转移电子;二氢吲哚染料最高占据分子轨道(HOMO)的能级低于I-/I3-能级,保证了失去电子的染料分子能够顺利从电解液中得到电子。因此,在提高染料敏化太阳能电池转换效率方面表现优异。
此外,作为手性辅助基团,吲哚啉在有机不对称合成中也成功应用。
用途吲哚啉主要用于制药,并可制备以下物质:NOD1诱导的核因子κB活化作用抑制剂;鞘氨醇-1-磷酸酯4(S1P4)受体对抗剂;有细胞毒素的细胞环抑制剂;2-氨基吡啶;PET试剂,用于蛋白质致活酶的成像;钠依赖式葡萄糖共传输体2(SGLT2)抑制剂,用于管理糖尿病中的高血糖症;α4β2-烟碱酸乙酰胆碱受体选择性部分兴奋剂;mGlu4阳性変构调节剂;细菌性生物膜抑制剂;血清素5-HT6受体对抗剂。
