4-(4-甲氧苯基)-2-丁酮可用于制备4-对羟基苯基-2-丁酮,后者又称覆盆子酮、悬钩子酮或树莓酮。该化合物由日本Nomura等人于1918年发现,并在1957年被确认为覆盆子中的主要香味物质。
制备4-(4-甲氧苯基)-2-丁酮可通过四步反应从对甲氧基苯甲醛制得。
应用茴香基丙酮是一种无色至淡黄色的油状液体,具有鲜花和水果香气。它不仅作为医药中间体用于合成多巴酚丁胺,还广泛应用于食品工业中,作为一种高档香料用于软饮料、冷饮、糖果、焙烤食品及布丁类食品等。随着我国对该产品市场需求的增长,进行相关产品的研制与开发显得尤为重要。
合成苯酚在氢氧化钠溶液中的甲基化反应较为显著,采用苯酚与稍过量的新鲜工业硫酸二甲酯反应后,苯甲醚的收率可达90%,远高于文献记载的7%。经多次实验发现,该工艺的关键在于低温滴加完硫酸二甲酯后缓慢升温,并在40℃左右保温一段时间,否则苯甲醚的收率一般只有75%-80%。
