4-甲基-2-氯-喹啉是一种有机中间体,可通过4-甲基喹啉-2(1H)-酮与三氯氧磷反应制备。文献报道其可用于制备基于CrO-FeO-PbO和喹啉修饰的石墨电极及一种用于吸附去除化工废水中苯的改性蛭石吸附剂。
制备方法将5.0g 4-甲基喹啉-2(1H)-酮粉末加入到装有搅拌子的三口烧瓶中的40mL三氯氧磷中。缓慢升温至回流,反应20分钟后停止加热。通过减压旋蒸除去大部分溶剂三氯氧磷,将剩余物倒入冰水中,并用氢氧化钠水溶液调节至中性。会有沉淀析出,使用乙醚萃取三次,再用水洗三次乙醚相,无水硫酸镁干燥后自然挥干,最终获得4-甲基-2-氯-喹啉无色针状晶体,产率为94%。
化学性质4-甲基-2-氯-喹啉为白色针状晶体。熔点为59℃,沸点为296℃,可随水蒸气挥发。
用途主要用于有机合成。
生产方法将2-羟基-4-甲基喹啉和三氯氧磷的混合物加热至80-85℃,直至固体完全溶解。随后将此混合物倾入冰水中,并使用乙醚进行提取。蒸出乙醚后,通过减压蒸馏收集132-135℃(0.4kPa)的馏分以获得2-氯-4-甲基喹啉。进一步提纯可通过石油醚(沸点40-50℃)重结晶实现,产率为86%-89%。
