4-硝基肉桂醛可用作有机合成中间体和医药中间体,主要用于实验室研发过程和化工生产过程中。
制备方法将5.0g(66mmol)对硝基苯甲醛和10.0mL乙醛加入三颈瓶中,在滴液漏斗中加入10mL质量分数为30%的氢氧化钾-甲醇溶液,磁力搅拌下用冰盐浴冷却反应瓶。当温度降至0-5℃时,缓慢滴加5mL氢氧化钾-甲醇溶液,反应40分钟后再次滴加5mL氢氧化钾-甲醇溶液,在10℃左右继续反应40分钟。冷却至5℃以下后,反应混合物固化,加入乙酸酐16mL,在水浴上加热30分钟后倒入120mL热水中,再加入16mL浓盐酸并水浴加热20分钟。静置24小时后析出晶体,进行抽滤和洗涤,并在质量分数为30%的乙酸水溶液中重结晶,最终得到1.6g黄色晶体,即为4-硝基肉桂醛,产物产率为45.3%。
