4-乙氧基-3-甲氧基苯甲醛(香草醛乙醚)可用作医药合成中间体。香草醇醚又称辣椒醚,具有浓厚的咖喱香味,广泛用于食品调味剂。此外,由于其显著的发热效果,能够加速人体血液循环并产生局部发热感,因此常被用作化妆品中的发热剂。特别是在寒冷冬季,它可以作为女性洁面产品的成分之一;同时,在膏药中使用时,它还具有祛风寒的功效。
合成方法4-乙氧基-3-甲氧基苯甲醛的制备如下:将1千克香草醛、6.6升乙醇(香草醛浓度为1mol/L)、0.3千克催化剂B和0.15千克催化剂F加入反应釜中,并充入1.5MPa氢气,加热至30℃反应24小时。待检测确认香草醛完全反应后停止加热,冷却反应釜并过滤掉催化剂。直接干燥催化剂后再使用。滤液通过旋转蒸发去除过量的乙醇,最终得到纯度超过98%、产率为98%的香草醇乙醚(4-乙氧基-3-甲氧基苯甲醛)1.36千克。
