用途广泛,可用于分子内的共轭加成反应合成floresolide B,并实现化学酶一锅法合成γ-丁内酯。通过不对称氢化反应,可以对映选择性地合成螺二氢化茚二甲乙酸;此外,它还能在立体选择性的条件下参与分子内Diels-Alder反应及Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons反应。另外,该物质还可与各种醛和酮发生缩合反应,生成丙烯酸酯。
