Tormentic acid 是从 ROSa rugOSa 中分离出来的一种三萜，具有抗炎、降血脂和抗动脉粥样硬化的作用。

体外研究

Tormentic acid 能通过抑制核因子-κB途径，在RAW 264.7巨噬细胞中抑制LPS诱导的iNOS、COX-2 和 TNF-α 表达。此外，它还能通过促进葡萄糖转运蛋白4和AMP激活蛋白激酶的磷酸化，抑制高脂饮食引起的糖尿病和高血脂症。
