(−)-Saframycin A and its nineteen analogues were prepared from l-tyrosine in 24 steps, and their structures were confirmed through NMR and HRMS. The cytotoxicities of these compounds were tested against HCT-8, BEL-7402, Ketr3, A2780, MCF-7, A549, BGC-803, Hela, HELF and KB cell lines. The IC50 values of the cytotoxicity of most compounds were at the level of nM. Compound 7d with 2-furan amide side
Certain indanyl piperazines are useful as melatonergic agents and can treat various CNS disorders. They are use useful in treating sleep disorders and other conditions related to circadian rhythms.

The present invention relates to norbormide analogues having rodenticidal activity; rodenticidal compositions comprising the analogues; uses of the analogues as rodenticides; uses of the analogues in the manufacture of rodenticidal compositions; and methods for controlling rodents using the compositions.
The invention relates to a process for making HOF.RCN and using it to oxidise organic substrates in a quick and safe way. The process comprises passing diluted fluorine through a conduit and RCN in water through another conduit into a microreactor to form HOF.RCN and reacting this with an organic substrates.

Norbormide [5-(α-hydroxy-α-2-pyridylbenzyl)-7-(α-2-pyridylbenzylidene)-5-norbornene-2,3-dicarboximide] (NRB), an existing but infrequently used rodenticide, is known to be uniquely toxic to rats but relatively harmless to other rodents and mammals. However, one major drawback of NRB as a viable rodenticide relates to an evolutionary aversion developed by the rat leading to sub-lethal dosing due to
