fusicocca-2,5-diene, yet to be identified as natural products, were converted to fusicogigantones A and B and fusicogigantepoxide by oxidation with singlet oxygen. The NMR spectral analysis established their identity with natural products. Also synthesized was 2α,3α:5α,6α-diepoxyfusicoccane, a regioisomer of fusicogigantepoxide.
