Provided are sulphur-linked compounds, pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and methods of treating ophthalmic diseases and disorders, such as age-related macular degeneration and Stargardt's Disease, using said compounds and compositions.
The present invention is directed to a reagent for use in the preparation of organomagnesium compounds as well as to a method of preparing such organomagnesium compounds. The present invention furthermore provides a method of preparing functionalized or unfunctionalized organic compounds as well as the use of the reagents of the present invention in the preparation of organometallic compounds and their reaction with electrophiles. A light-induced redox-neutral Ni-catalyzed sp3 C–H alkylation of unactivatedalkenes with alkyl bromides possessing β-hydrogens is described herein. The method is distinguished by its simplicity, wide scope, and exquisite regio- and chemoselectivity profile, thus offering an entry point to forge sp3–sp3 architectures.
