Total synthesis of phenazinomycin, a rare type of phenazine antibiotic, was achieved by using high pressure reaction. Chiralsesquiterpenemoiety in the side chain was synthesized employing (S)-3-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylcyclohexanone as a chiral source.
