The first totalsynthesis of racemic chondrosterin I was accomplished. The first enantioselective total synthesis of chondrosterins I and J was accomplished featuring a catalytic asymmetric intramolecular aldol reaction with chiral diaminecatalyst. The enantiomeric excess was as high as 92 % ee .
