    A potent centrally constrained series of benzimidazole and benzoxazole glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors has been discovered based on the solution conformation of a cyclic RGD-containing peptide, DMP 728. The high potency of this series of compounds in the inhibition of platelet aggregation requires a benzamidine as the basic moiety and an alpha-carbamate or sulfonamide substituted beta-alanine as the acidic moiety.

    Résumé In this project, Fe3O4@SiO2 was synthesized and combined with collagen for the preparation of Fe3O4@SiO2/collagen. It was characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, VSM, XRD, EDX, SEM and TEM. This nanocatalyst has some interesting advantages such as facile synthetic procedure, high catalytic activity, easy separation and acceptable reusability. It was applied as an efficient nanocatalyst in the synthesis of benzimidazole and benzothiazole derivatives. This method offers several advantages including high yields, short reaction times, easy workup process and environmentally benign reaction conditions.

    Abstract

    Nanosized MCM-41-SO3H material based on ordered mesoporous silica gel with covalently attached sulfonic acid groups was synthesized and used as acid catalyst for green synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazole derivatives. Echo-friendly protocol, short reaction times, easy and quick isolation of the products, and excellent yields are the main advantages of this procedure.

    A simple and eco-friendly protocol for the synthesis of substituted 2-arylbenzimidazoles is described. In this process, 2-arylbenzimidazoles were prepared in the presence of a newly introduced ionic liquid prolinium nitrate [Pro]NO3 as catalyst, under solvent-free condition. This process was performed under mild condition without using any oxidant with good to excellent yields and remarkable chemoselectivity
