A new and generalapproach to important fluoroalkyl-substituted pyrazoles has been developed. The approach is based on the use of fluoroalkyl amino reagents and their Lewis acid activation to form a fluoroalkyliminium salt that acts as a formal “fluoroacyl transfer reagent”.
