Efficient and highly selective catalytic conditions for the aerobic autoxidation of methylarenes to benzaldehydes, based on N‐hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) and cobalt(II) acetate in 1,1,1,3,3,3‐hexafluoropropan‐2‐ol (HFIP), were developed.
