Two novel epoxyisoflavones, erysenegalensein F, 5,2',4'-trihydroxy-8-(2''',3'''-epoxy-3'''-methylbutyl)-2'',2''- dimethylpyrano[5'',6'':6,7]isoflavone and erysenegalensein G, 5,4'-dihydroxy-8-(2''',3'''-epoxy-3'''-methylbutyl)-2'',2''- dimethylpyrano[5'',6'':6,7]isoflavone, in addition to the known compounds auriculatin and warangalone, have been isolated and characterized from the stem bark of the Cameroonian medicinal plant Erythrina senegalensis. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic techniques and confirmed by chemical correlations.
