Abstract A mild and efficient method for the direct iodination of methoxyarenes, phenols, and anilines using iodine and poly (4‐vinylpyridine)‐supported peroxodisulfate in acetonitrile solution, is presented. Selective para‐substitution and also, the rather general applicability of this system is the advantage of the method.
