    There is described a process for the production of a compound of formula 1, in which R is hydrogen or alkyl CI to 6, and R5 and R10, which may be the same or different, are each hydrogen or alkyl CI to 6, or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof, which comprises removal of an activating group from a compound of formula II, or a suitable derivative thereof, in which R, R5 and R,o are as defined above, and X represents an activating group, and if desired or necessary converting the resulting compound of formula I to a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof, or vice versa. There is also described a process for the production of a compound of formula II in which R is hydrogen, or a suitable derivative thereof, which comprises reaction of a compound of formula III, or a suitable derivative thereof, in which R5 and R10 are as defined above, with a compound of formula IV, in which X is as defined above.

    The invention provides immunostimulatory compositions comprising a small molecule immuno-potentiator (SMIP) compound and methods of administration thereof. Also provided are methods of administering a SMIP compound in an effective amount to enhance the immune response of a subject to an antigen. Further provided are novel compositions and methods of administering SMIP compounds alone or in combination with another agent for the treatment of cancer, infectious diseases and/or allergies/asthma. In a further aspect, the invention relates generally to methods of screening for small molecule immuno-modulatory compositions.

    The electroconductive composition of the present invention contains an electroconductive polymer (A) having a sulfonic acid group and/or carboxylic acid group, and a basic compound (B) having two or more nitrogen atoms. The electrical conductor of the present invention consists of the electroconductive composition. In the laminate of the present invention, the electrical conductor is laminated on at least one surface of a substrate. The method for producing a laminate of the present invention includes applying the electroconductive composition to at least one surface of a substrate, heating and drying the composition, and forming an electrical conductor. The electroconductive film of the present invention is provided with the electrical conductor. The solid electrolyte condenser of the present invention is provided with a positive electrode consisting of a porous body of a valve metal, a dielectric layer formed by oxidizing the positive electrode surface, and one or more solid electrolyte layers formed on the dielectric layer surface side, and at least one of the solid electrolyte layers is formed of the electroconductive composition.
