Adamantoylated monosaccharides: new compounds for modification of the properties of cyclodextrin-containing materials

Adamantoyl glycosides were obtained in good yields by coupling adamantanecarboxylic acid with monosaccharides. They form very stable inclusion complexes with beta-cyclodextrin, as shown by H-1 NMR measurements. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
