Alkyl-GeMe3 was proven to be an effective radicalprecursor under visible-light photocatalysis. The metalloid nature of Ge allows single-electron transfer (SET) at the neutral Ge center and leads to advantages in separation and derivatization.
在可见光光催化下,烷基-GeMe 3被证明是一种有效的自由基前体。Ge 的准金属性质允许在中性 Ge 中心进行单电子转移 (SET),并在分离和衍生化方面具有优势。
Suzuki Cross-Couplings of Unactivated Secondary Alkyl Bromides and Iodides

The capacity to employ unactivated alkyl electrophiles as coupling partners will markedly increase the already exceptional utility of metal-catalyzed cross-coupling processes. This communication describes the development of a method that achieves the first Suzuki reactions of unactivated secondaryalkylbromides and iodides. The ability to couple readily available, easy-to-handle boronic acids is an
Nickel-Catalyzed Cross-Couplings of Organosilicon Reagents with Unactivated Secondary Alkyl Bromides

日期:2004.6.1
A metal-catalyzed cross-coupling of organosilicon compounds with alkyl halides has been developed. Noteworthy attributes of the method are its scope (secondary electrophiles), its high functional-group compatibility, and the air stability of the catalyst components.
