Two new dibromotyrosine derivatives from the caribbean sponge pseudoceratina crassa

Two novel dibromotyrosine derivatives were isolated from the Caribbean sponge Pseudoceratinacrassa (Hyatt). The structures of ethyl 3,5-dibromo-4-(3′-N,N-dimethylaminopropyloxy)cinnamate (1) and 3,5-dibromo-4-(3′-N,N-dimethylaminopropyloxy)cinnamic acid (2) were proposed on the basis of spectroscopic evidence and were confirmed by synthesis.
