Two new ceramides, irisamides A (1) and B (2), together with a new isoflavone, iridin S (3) have been isolated from the MeOH extract of the rhizomes of Iris germanica L. (Iridaceae). Their structures were established by UV, IR, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR experiments, in addition to comparison with literature data.
