A method for producing alkylstyrene which is characterized in that 1,2-di(substituted phenyl)ethane is brought into contact with an acid catalyst at 200.degree. C. to 650.degree. C. in the presence of an inert gas to crack it into alkylstyrene and alkylbenzene. The method of the invention has advantages in that the operation of reaction and separation of reaction mixture are quite easy, the lowering of catalytic activity is small, and unreacted starting material can be reused.
一种制备烷基苯乙烯的方法,其特征在于将1,2-二(取代苯基)乙烷在惰性气体存在下与酸性催化剂接触,使其在200℃至650℃下裂解成烷基苯乙烯和烷基苯。该发明的方法具有反应和反应混合物分离操作非常容易,催化活性降低小,未反应的起始物质可以再利用的优点。
