A radiation-sensitive resin composition contains: a polymer that includes a structural unit including an acid-labile group; and a radiation-sensitive acid generating agent. The radiation-sensitive acid generating agent includes a sulfonate anion and a radiation-sensitive cation. The sulfonate anion includes two or more rings, and an iodine atom and a monovalent group having 0 to 10 carbon atoms which includes at least one of an oxygen atom and a nitrogen atom bond to at least one of the two or more rings. The ring is preferably an aromatic ring. The radiation-sensitive acid generating agent is preferably a compound represented by formula (1). In the formula (1), A

represents a group obtained from a compound which includes a ring having 3 to 20 ring atoms by removing (p+q+r+1) hydrogen atoms on the ring.

A new hypervalent iodine(V) compound, potassium4-iodylbenzenesulfonate, was prepared by the oxidation of 4-iodobenzensulfonic acid with Oxone in water. A simple and efficient method for solvent-free iodination of hydroxylated aromatic aldehydes and ketones using iodine and iodic acid by grinding method
Green, mild and efficientiodination of hydroxylatedaromaticaldehydes and ketones using iodine and iodic acid in the solid-state by grinding under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. This method provides several advantages such as environmentally friendly, short reaction times, high yields, non-hazardous and simple work-up procedure.
The laccase-catalyzed iodination of p-hydroxyarylcarbonyl- and p-hydroxyarylcarboxylic acid derivatives using KI as iodine source and aerial oxygen as the oxidant delivers the corresponding iodophenols in a highly efficient and sustainable manner with yields up to 93% on a preparative scale under mild reaction conditions.

Abstract A rapid and efficient ultrasound-promoted protocol for iodination of aromatic and heteroaromaticcompounds, using molecular iodine in the presence of aqueous hydrogen peroxide in water without any cosolvent, has produced versatile iodinated organic molecules with potential application in organic synthesis and medicine in short reaction times and good to excellent yields.
