Intramolecular radical cyclisation protocol on 5-hexenyl systems derived from d-xylose, was utilized for the synthesis of (+)dihydrocanadensolide, (+)-dihydrosporothriolide and their C-3 epimers, wherein a study on the impact of C-2′ stereocentre on radical cyclisation was conducted.
