The structure elucidation of (+)-amphidinolide A, a cytotoxic macrolide, has been accomplished by employing a combination of NMR chemical shift analysis and totalsynthesis. Using the reported structure as a starting point, a number of diastereomers of amphidinolide A were prepared.
