A series of phosphates and phosphonates, (p-R1C6H4O)3xP(O) (OC6H5)x and (p-R1 C6H4O)3xP(O) (C6H5)x, respectively (R1 = C2F5, n-C,F17 and C3F7(OCF(CF3(CF2)n wherein n = 2, 3, 4 and 6) were prepared by reaction of the appropriate phenols with corresponding phosphorus halides.
