  摘要：

  A faunal total synthesis of artocarpin was achieved via selective demethylation, iodination, followed by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction of the key flavone derivative. It took only 7 steps in the overall yield of 55% starting from commercially available 3,5-dimethoxyphenol.
