The present invention is concerned with novel triazole compounds of formula (I) wherein A, X, Y, Z, R1, R2, and R3 are as described herein, as well as pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters thereof. The active compounds of present invention have affinity and selectivity for the GABA A α5 receptor. Further the present invention is concerned with the manufacture of the compounds of formula (I), pharmaceutical compositions comprising them and their use as medicaments.

Understanding the structure-property relationship of ionic liquids is a key to the development of optimized materials for specific applications, such as CO2 capture, battery electrolytes, or lubricants. Using Cu(I)-catalyzed click chemistry as a synthetic platform, a library of triazolium-based ionic liquids has been accessed for the first time. These regioisomers of ionic liquids give insight into the structure property of these important materials. The effect of substituents and the effect of regioisomerization on thermal stability, CO2 solubility and inductive effects have been correlated.

A method for separating a target gas from a gaseous mixture using 1,2,3-triazolium ionic liquids is presented. Industrial effluent streams may be cleaned by removing carbon dioxide from the stream by contacting the effluent stream with a 1,2,3-triazolium ionic liquid compound.
