醋酸镍在有机化学中常用作金属催化剂,商业化的醋酸镍往往是其水合物,可用于催化偶联反应、还原反应等,在金属有机反应、镀镍、金属着色以及药物分子制备中有着较为广泛的应用。

制备
  1. 向金属镍粉中加入盐酸和氯化铜溶液或硫酸和硫酸铜溶液进行反应,经除杂、蒸发得到镍盐。
  2. 将步骤1所得的镍盐与NaOH溶液充分反应,过滤后得到Ni(OH)₂。
  3. 将步骤2中得到的Ni(OH)₂用醋酸酸化,经过蒸发、结晶得到醋酸镍产品。所使用的酸和铜盐溶液可以为盐酸和氯化铜溶液或硫酸和硫酸铜溶液;所得镍盐可以是氯化镍或硫酸镍。
用途

该物质可用于媒染剂和电镀等领域。

化学性质

纯品为绿色单斜晶系柱状结晶,商品多为22%~32%可湿性粉剂。外观呈绿色结晶或结晶状粉末,微有醋酸味,溶于水或醇。
