Reactions ofN-(4-nitrophenylthio)morpholine,N,N′-thiobismorpholine, andN,N′-dithiobismorpholine with thionyl chloride or sulfuryl chloride at −40°C afford electrophilic chlorosulfenylating reagents, which add to the C=C bond of norbornene in high yields.
