‘6′-prenylpiscerythrone’, a diprenylated isoflavone from Piscidia erythrina , has been unambiguously revised using chemical and spectroscopic methods to 5,7,3′,4′-tetrahydroxy-5′-methoxy-2′,6′-di-(3,3-dimethylallyl)isoflavone (erythbigenin). A further investigation of the root bark components of P. erythrina has also revealed the presence of three isoflavones with 5,7,3′,4′,5′-pentaoxygenation. These
