The biotransformation of dl-camphene in rabbits was investigated. Four neutral metabolites, 6-exo-hydroxycamphene, 10-hydroxycamphene, and diastereoisomers of camphene-2,10-glycol, were identified and two alcohols, 7-hydroxycamphene and 3-hydroxytricyclene, were estimated by IR, UV, NMR, and mass spectra and chemical degradations.
