Furthermore, two unusual dual-functional haloacid dehalogenase-like terpene cyclases, AncA and AncC, which generate cyclofarnesoid- and drimane-type products, respectively, were characterized. These findings lay the foundation for the biotechnological production of antrocins independent of the Antrodia mushroom.
