  The structure of the gibberellin GA52 has been corrected from the 2-beta,3-beta,11-alpha-trihydroxy structure to the 2-beta,3-beta,11-beta-trihydroxy structure on the basis of a comparison of its 500 MHz H-1 NMR spectrum with that of GA80.The new assignment was confirmed by the conversion of GA52 into the cyclic ether.
