  The synthesis and antibacterial activity of benzo[f][1,7]naphtyridone derivatives are reported. These compounds are potent antibacterial agents with a Gram-positive spectrum of activity. They are active against multi-resistant cocci, especially Staphylococcus aureus strains.   Nouveau dérivé de la benzo[f]naphtyridine de formule générale (I) dans laquelle, R1, R2 et R3, identiques ou différents, représentent un atome d'H, un atome d'halogène ou bien un groupe de formule générale (II) -NR5R6 dans laquelle R5 et R6 forment ensemble avec l'atome d'N auquel ils sont rattachés un hétérocycle à 5, 6 ou 7 chaînons dont 2 C peuvent éventuellement être liés entre eux par un pont contenant 1 ou 2 C, et contenant le cas échéant un autre hétéroatome choisi parmi N, O ou S, ledit cycle pouvant en outre être substitué par un ou plusieurs radicaux phényl, phényl substitué, benzyle, alkyle, OH, aminoalkyle, alcoylaminoalkyle, dialkylaminoalkyle, ou benzylaminoalkyle, étant entendu que l'un des substituants R1, R2 ou R3 est nécessairement un groupe de formule (II), et l'un au moins des deux autres représente un atome d'halogène, et R4 représente un radical alcoyle, fluoroalkyle, carboxyalkyle, cycloalkyle contenant 3 à 6 C, fluorophényle, difluorophényle, alkyloxy ou alkylamino, les radicaux alkyle cités ci-dessus étant droits ou ramifiés et contenant 1 à 4 C, sous ses formes stéréoisomères ou leurs mélanges, ainsi que ses sels métalliques, ses sels d'addition avec les bases azotées et ses sels d'addition avec les acides.
