    异丁基乙烯基醚(IBVE)在水性介质中的悬浮阳离子聚合可以通过使用H 3 PW 12 O 40,AlPW 12 O 40,FePW 12 O 40,K 3 PW 12 O 40或Na 3 PW 12 O 40来实现。在HCl存在下作为有效的耐水共引发剂。IBVE与H 2 O的加成反应形成IBVE–H 2 O加合物,然后立即发生分解,或在AlPW 12存在下转变为乙醛二异丁基乙缩醛(A)。O 40和(A)迅速分解形成2-异丁醇(B)和乙醛(C)。随着HCl浓度的增加,IBVE在水性介质中的阳离子聚合得到极大促进,并且即使在0.3 mM的低AlPW 12 O 40浓度下,IBVE的阳离子聚合反应也能极其迅速地进行,从而获得了高聚合物收率。需要足够量的HCl以减少引发剂IBVE-HCl的水解并同时加速在水性介质中的聚合。聚(IBVE)的收率和分子量随HCl和AlPW 12 O 40浓度的增加或温
