for 5 h with high efficiency in hydrogen peroxide. The catalytic activity of the hydrotalcites increased as the basicity of their surfaces increased. In the case of the epoxidation of less reactive substrates, adding a cationic surfactant such as n-dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTMAB) to the above oxidationsystem accelerated the epoxidation reaction. These hydrotalcite catalysts were easily separated

Amino acids, such as arginine and lysine, can be used as an efficient catalyst in the epoxidation of α,β-unsaturated ketones with aqueoushydrogenperoxide. Up to >99% conversion was obtained in the reaction toward 11 α,β-unsaturated ketones.
Efficient generation of hydrogen peroxide by aerobic photooxidation of 2-propanol using anthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid and one-pot epoxidation of α,β-unsaturated ketones
We developed an efficient method for the generation of hydrogen peroxide by aerobic photooxidation of 2-propanol using anthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid and molecular oxygen in air and visible light from fluorescent lamps. One-pot epoxidation of α,β-unsaturatedketones using the generated hydrogen peroxide is also reported.

An efficient synthesis of alkenes from epoxides in a mixture of saturated aqueous NH4Br and tetrahydrofuran (8:1) has been developed in an undivided cell fitted with a pair of zinc electrodes, and it is proposed that the reaction is mediated by Zn(0) with a hierarchically organized nanostructure.

established epoxidation pathway into a peroxidation pathway, the first efficient catalytic peroxidation has been successfully developed. Employing readily available alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones and hydroperoxides and an easily accessible cinchona alkaloid catalyst, this novel reaction will open new possibilities in the asymmetric synthesis of chiral peroxides. Under different conditions a highly enantioselective
