The use of ∝,∝ -difluorobenzyl(dimethyl)amine (DBDA) and diethyl(trifluoromethyl)amine (DTA) as fluorinating reagents to replace hydroxyl groups in alcohols and carboxylic acids by fluorine atoms has been studied. The results are compared with those reported for other fluoroamine reagents.

F‐act finding mission: Selective activation of the para CF bonds of perfluorinated aromatic derivatives was achieved with a simple ethynyldithiocarbamate. The resulting adducts can be used as non‐ionic, anhydrous fluoride transfer reagents towards various electrophiles (see scheme).
F-act 发现任务:使用简单的二硫代氨基甲酸乙炔酯选择性激活全氟化芳族衍生物的对位C F 键。所得加合物可用作非离子、无水氟化物转移试剂,用于各种亲电子试剂(见方案)。
Hydrofluorination of unsaturated compounds with solid potassium hydrogen fluoride in the presence of silicon tetrafluoride at room temperature
Hydrofluorination of unsaturated compounds proceeds by reaction with solid potassium hydrogen fluoride and silicontetrafluoride to afford the corresponding fluorides in high yields.

components and ligates to Ag(I) under the reaction conditions. The use of donor ligands on Ag(I) provides evidence of oxidation to Ag(II) by Selectfluor. The use of sodium persulfate as an additive in the reaction as well as NFSI as a fluorine source further supports the generation of a Ag(II) intermediate; this data will enable the development of a more efficient set of reaction conditions for the fluorination
