    聚环己烯碳酸酯(PCHC) 是一种可回收、可持续的脂环族聚碳酸酯,可由CO 2合成。然而,PCHC 的光学特性(包括双折射)尚不清楚。在此,我们通过降冰片烷骨架的“融合”和“悬浮”两种方法设计了新型碳酸酯单元,以获得基于PCHC的零双折射聚碳酸酯。与PCHC相比,100%单轴拉伸降冰片烷熔融PCHC薄膜的面内延迟降低,而光弹性系数出乎意料地增加。相反,降冰片烷悬浮的PCHC的光弹性双折射下降。此外,通过环己烯碳酸酯与四环十二烷悬浮单体共聚合成的共聚物表现出几乎为零的光弹性双折射。这一结果表明,可以通过“悬浮”环状骨架而不是“融合”环状骨架来降低光弹性双折射。计算研究表明,椅环己烷骨架抑制光弹性双折射。这项研究获得的结果有可能指导低双折射聚碳酸酯和其他聚合物的设计。

In General Formula (IB), R 1b represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or an alkyl group. L 1b represents a single bond or a linking group, and Ar 1b represents an aromatic ring, m1b represents an integer of 1 to 5.
