(-)-Myrtenyl N,N-Diisopropylcarbamate: Stereochemistry of Lithiation and Electrophilic Substitution Directed by Dynamic Kinetic Diastereoisomer Resolution
(-)-MyrtenylN,N-diisopropylcarbamate was lithiated by butyllithium in the presence of achiral and chiral ligands, followed by quench with several electrophiles. The ratio of diastereomeric products allows conclusions regarding the configurational stability of both diastereomeric lithium intermediates and the influence of kineticdiastereoisomerresolution in the substitution step.
