A bisphenol-based resin comrprises a structural unit derived from a reaction of (a) a bisphenol-based compound, (b) at least one selected from the group consisting of an aminobenzenesulfonic acid and an aminobenzenesulfonic acid derivative, and (c) at least one selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde and a formaldehyde derivative, under the presence of a basic compound, wherein the total amount of bisphenol S and a bisphenol S derivative in the component (a) is 0.10 to 0.30 mol with respect to 1.00 mol of the component (a), and the amount of the basic compound is 1.15 mol or more with respect to 1.00 mol of the component (b).
