The R,R-enantiomer shows increased efficacy as compared to cisplatin. The binding of diamondoid-based platinum complexes to nucleotides occurs at similar or faster rate for both isomers compared to cisplatin so that the herein revealed platinum(II) complexes are compounds with high anti-cancerogenic activity .
