The two newditerpenes, vierol (1) [(−)kaurane-16α,18-diol] and powerol (3) [(−)kaurane-7β,16α-diol] have been isolated fromSideritis canariensis Ait. 1 was obtained by partial synthesis from epicandicandiol (7), and 3 was related with (−)kauranol (6) and (−)kauren-7β-ol acetate (11). Abstract The microbiologicaltransformation of ent -kaur-15-ene and of some derivatives by Gibberellafujikuroi into the gibberell-15-ene analogues of GA 3 , GA 7 , GA 13 and GA 16 and into 7,18-dihydroxykaur-15-enolide and the Δ 15 -isomer of fujenal is described.
