of gastrointestinal nutrient sensing pathways provides a promising a new approach for the treatment of metabolic diseases including diabetes and obesity. The calcium-sensingreceptor has been identified as a key receptor involved in mineral and amino acid nutrient sensing and thus is an attractive target for modulation in the intestine. Herein we describe the optimization of gastrointestinally restricted

The invention relates to novel prodrugs or conjugates of the general formula (Ia)
in which cytotoxic drugs, for example kinesin spindle protein inhibitors, are masked with legumain-cleavable groups and hence release the drug, and to the use of these prodrugs or conjugates for treatment and/or prevention of diseases, and to the use of these prodrugs or conjugates for production of medicaments for treatment and/or prevention of diseases, especially of hyperproliferative and/or angiogenic disorders, for example cancers.
The present invention provides a compound that is highly safe and useful in the prevention, alleviation, and/or treatment of various diseases involving enteropeptidase inhibition and/or trypsin inhibition, a pharmaceutical composition containing the compound, a method for producing the compound, and the like. Specifically, the present invention provides a compound represented by the following general formula (I):
[wherein: A1 and A2 each independently represent an inhibitor residue having at least one activity selected from an enteropeptidase inhibitory activity and a trypsin inhibitory activity; and Z represents a spacer that links A1 to A2] or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
