  Titled azulene-condensed bridged [11]annulenium perchlorate has been synthesized as stable crystals. Its H-1- and C-13-NMR spectra and other physical properties showed it to be a peripheral 18-pi electron diatropic compound and its H-1-NMR spectrum in trifluoroacetic acid indicates the formation of dicationic species.
