ethanolic extract of Elephantopus mollis yielded three novel cytotoxic antitumor germacranolides, molephantin, molephantinin, and phantomolin. The extract also yielded three inactive known triterpenes, beta-amyrin acetate, lupeol acetate, and epifriedelanol, as well as stigmasterol.
