Eighteen substituted chalcones, flavones and 3-flavonols were synthesized and characterized using 1H-NMR, IR and elemental analysis. The substitution pattern includes two halogen atoms, nitro and methyl groups in ring A as well as two or three methoxy groups in ring B.
