Abstract A new lignan characterised as (-)-4-hydroxy-2,6-di-(4′-hydroxy-3′-methoxy)phenyl-3,7-dioxabicyclo-(3.3.0)octane along with n -10-nonacosanol, scopoletin, syringic acid, β-sitosterol and its glucoside, has been isolated from the aerial parts of Lonicera hypoleuca .
